Science and Artist Collaborative

Science and Artist Collaborative

The Scientist Artist Collaborative (SAC) is a program that offers MIMH’s faculty and staff an opportunity to work directly with a professional artist over 3-4 sessions to experience the creative process and facilitate new discoveries.  The Collaborative will achieve the following goals:

  • Improve our ability to “see” scientific inquiry differently through new angles and views.
  • Develop new scientific approaches through creativity, innovation, and inspiration.
  • Create better ways to interpret data and produce unconventional outcomes.
  • Provide the artistic community with a forum for expression.
  • Provide the St. Louis community with exposure to visiting artists through a public performance.

Committee members will vet the joining artist and work with the artist to develop the program structure and process. Committee members will help with the culminating event.
