The Holidays And Mental Health Dec/15/2014 | by Dan Musgrave

MIMH Communications Director Andrea Purnell was recently interviewed by Missouri Viewpoints for a feature on mental health and the holidays. Because this time of year often places extra obligations and stresses on individuals, numerous myths have sprung up correlating the holidays with a rise in suicides, among other things. Purnell dismissed this myth as unsubstantiated, addressed other misconceptions about mental health and the holidays, and provided tips for having a healthier holiday season. The full interview can be seen above. An accompanying article, by Mike Ferguson, can be found at Missouri Viewpoints: The Holidays and Mental Health.
