- SAMHSA Curriculum for Addiction Professionals. An online course that is free to the public, is available now. This curriculum was developed jointly by NOFAS and SAMHSA's FASD Center for Excellence. This curriculum is intended for social workers, certified addiction counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and others in the treatment and recovery field. Parents, caregivers, and other family members may also find it helpful. Although the information in this curriculum pertains primarily to working with women and women with children in substance abuse treatment, some of the information also applies to adult men and adolescents in treatment programs.
- National Registry of Evidence-based Programs and Practices (NREPP) is available online, greatly expanding the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's efforts to help local organizations make informed decisions about evidence-based interventions for the prevention and treatment of mental health and substance use disorders. NREPP is a searchable database with up-to-date, reliable information on the scientific basis and practicality of interventions. Users, such as community organizations and state and local officials, can perform custom searches to identify specific interventions based upon desired outcomes, target populations and service settings.
- American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian Free Resource Kit - The FASD Centers for Excellence developed this resource kit for members of Native American communities with an interest in understanding, coping with, and preventing FASD. The resource kit includes 16 products, most of which were developed specifically for the kit. They include brochures, information sheets, fact sheets, and resource list and poster.
